The Observatorio will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a special event on Thursday, April 27th. Held at the Harvard Faculty Club, this event will feature special guest lectures by Director General of the Instituto Cervantes Luis García Montero and Harvard Visiting Professor and acclaimed author Valeria Luiselli.

A new publication of the Observatory of versions in English, produced by experienced or emerging translators, of short works originally written in Spanish, from various genres, periods and geographical origins.
The Observatorio provides annual funds for research projects and programs. The projects must be led by Harvard faculty members and must be related to the core interests of the Observatorio.

The Instituto Cervantes Observatorio co-sponsors with EMR Student Research Awards, Latino Studies Working Group, and activities on Latino Studies.
SIELE is the International Service for Spanish Language Assessment, aimed at students and professionals, which digitally certifies Spanish language proficiency levels.
