The Observatorio is pleased to announce our long-awaited Open House, which also marks our return to in-person events and commemorates the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. This special occasion will feature Javier Limón, ten-time Grammy Award winning musical producer and composer, who will deliver a talk on “La canción en español, la próxima revolución musical en los Estados Unidos,” addressing recent changes in U.S. music and exploring the ever-increasing role the Spanish language has in the North American musical context.
Following the talk, as has become tradition at our Open Houses, we will enjoy a musical performance produced and performed by Javier Limón, who is Artistic Director of the Mediterranean Music Institute at Berklee College of Music. He will be accompanied by talented young artists from this prestigious institution. Tapas and drinks will be served at the end for those able to join us in person.
*For those attending via Zoom, the online activity will end around 6pm ET. For in-person attendees, the event will close around 7pm.
