In this special event we will announce the finalists and winner of the Casa Limón-Observatorio Cervantes Songwriting Contest, organized in collaboration with Casa Limón, the Mediterranean Music Institute at Berklee College of Music, and the Diputación de Huelva (Spain). Based on the poetic work of the celebrated Spanish poet Juan Ramón Jiménez, the contest was open to students of Harvard University and Berklee College of Music, who created songs from the poems of this great writer. Following a brief introduction to the contest, the finalists and other contestants will explain their choice of poem and their composition process, as well as perform their songs live.
