Abstract: The objective of this report is to examine the current state of the discipline of Iberian Studies in the United States and consider the challenges facing this emerging field in an institutional context that is largely dominated by national, monolingual traditions. Following in Chandler’s footsteps, the report offers a comprehensive overview of the various institutional frameworks in which Iberian Studies is mediated in the U.S. and the intellectual practices that influence its configuration
