Discussion panel on the life and works of Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo, with Walter A. Clark (DistinguishedProfessor of Musicology at the University of California, Riverside), Antoni Pizà (Professor at the City University of New York and Director of the Foundation for Iberian Music), Douglas Riva (pianist and expert in Spanish music)Javier Suárez-Pajares (DistinguishedProfessor of Musicology at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid), and Isabel Pérez Dobarro (international concert pianist), who will chair the discussion. The panel aims to give a comprehensive picture of Rodrigo´s genius, presenting both renowned and lesser-known works, Rodrigo´s context and influence, and his impact in the United States, among other topics.

The event will include a performance by mezzo-soprano Anna Tonna and guitarist and composer Hermelindo Ruiz.
