This workshop will explore effective methods for teaching Spanish as a second language to students in kindergarten through second grade. The activity will focus, first, on the power of play as a pedagogical tool in kindergarten and first grade. Second, the integration of readings in the second grade will be addressed. Through practical examples and innovative strategies, Jennifer Bueno will demonstrate how to make the Spanish learning process fun, interactive, and effective for younger students.
The speaker will share strategies to incorporate playful activities and readings in the classroom, generate a motivating learning environment and thus encourage the active participation of students. It will also address the adaptation of resources and materials to the specific needs of students according to their age and level of competence.
The main objective of this talk-workshop is to demonstrate the usefulness of play for pedagogical purposes and to provide participants with practical tools and effective strategies that they can apply in their classrooms, which is especially interesting for professionals teaching Spanish as a second language in the early years of school.
