Cervantes at Harvard

Born in Spain, Jorge / George Santayana (1863-1952), a poet, philosopher and professor at Harvard University for twenty years, returns home through the Instituto Cervantes. The occasion cannot be more propitious: to celebrate the critical edition of The Life of Reason, Santayana’s work that has most influenced American naturalism. The panel will include John Lachs (Centennial Professor, University of Vanderbilt), Daniel Moreno (IES Miguel Servet, Spain) and Martin A. Coleman (The Santayana Edition, IUPUI). This panel discussion on Santayana will be moderated by Sean Kelly (Department of Philosophy, Harvard University). In English
